You will be responsible for looking after US and UK investments so it is not a pure accounting role, but more of a review role so they need someone with experience and seniority.

This is a part-time role of 3-4 hours a day or 15-20 hours a week depending on what works best for both parties.

What will you do as a Senior Accountant?


• Taking responsibility for resolving financial matters arising
• Finding solutions and coordinating between different parties to ensure tasks are completed
• Providing accurate financial information when requested
• Working within the Real Estate team to be a financial “sounding board” or input for other team members
• Building relationships with necessary external parties to ease/facilitate a working relationship
• Documenting key meetings and calls to ensure a record exists of decisions, aim to ensure document filing is up to date and ordered

US investments

• Review and input into accounting for Investment entities
• Review of tax returns/K1s produced for Investment entities
• Co-ordination between US CPA and Property Manager Accountants

UK Investments

• Review of monthly bank statements and cash flow reporting from approx. 20 investment entities
• Review of quarterly management accounts, annual financial statements, tax computations for investment entities
• Tracking of JV investments made by partners and returns due /overpaid to partners
• Establishing/monitoring processes for appropriate shareholder distribution governance

What do you know that makes you a great Senior Accountant?

You must already live in the Gibraltar / Southern Spain area

Solid previous experience as an accountant ideally in a senior role.
An understanding of investments, ideally with real estate knowledge
Previous analytical experience and providing reports on findings
High level of excel knowledge
