RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a market leading egaming company who has a great opportunity for a Network Engineer to join this high performance team based in Gibraltar. What is the plan for the Network Engineer role?

Reporting directly to the Head of Network Operations, you will be joining a team where you will use your expertise as a Network Engineer to provide physical and virtual systems integration and networking in a highly virtualised development, test, and production environment.

You will also find yourself managing the creation and delivery of technical content, with a focus on cloud networking topologies, on-premises network integration and automation, cloud VPN configurations and direct interconnections to the major cloud service providers.

What will you do as a Network Engineer?

A major part of this role will be to constantly monitor and analyse the network environment to help identify opportunities to introduce efficiencies by way of automation, and to create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality.

You will also need hands on experience with the following vendors equipment:

Arista Switches
Juniper MX Routers and SRX Firewalls
PaloAlto 8xx/3xxx Firewalls
Cisco Nexus 9K Switches
Cisco IOS / IOS-XE

Experience with the following automation languages and frameworks:

Terraform and Ansible
VCS (Git) and CD/CI Pipelines
Product knowledge and experience with global CSP’s - AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI
Docker / K8s
Time series databases such as Influx and analytics engines such as Elastisearch

What do you know that makes you a great Network Engineer?

You will be someone who has a successful track record of designing simple, scalable network solutions along with the ability to troubleshoot complex network problems, whilst delivering innovative solutions on time, and ideally with a background working in a similar industry or fast-paced environment.
Excellent knowledge and experience in the application and troubleshooting of IP protocols, along with an in-depth knowledge of major routing protocols, specifically BGP for both public and private scenarios.

Salary £65k based on experience with bonus & an excellent relocation and benefits package.
