RecruitGibraltar are currently recruiting for a Junior Application Support Analyst to join a long established and reputable international local company who offer long term career growth. They are a privately owned company that have 20+ office globally and have shown consistent growth since their inception over 20 years ago.
What is the plan for the Junior Application Support Analyst role?
Based in the Gibraltar office, the key responsibility of the Junior Application Support Analyst will be to be involved in supporting the maintenance of the bespoke trading system and providing a level of support to users, to ensure the system is fully functional. This role would also suit someone who can respond quickly and well to incidents and problems and have around 2 years experience in IT desktop support and is keen to get into Application Support
What will you do as a Junior Application Support Analyst?
Provide daily assistance to users of the system, across different departments and locations;
Guide users on how to enter data into the system correctly as well as provide training to new and existing users;
Conduct routine checks to ensure the system is being used correctly and that users are completing their responsibilities and tasks;
Identify solutions to reduce system errors and improve user experience;
Keep up to date with key enhancements and developments and communicate this to end users;
Provide information to the technical team if there are system issues;
Logging tickets, dealing with issue resolution of in house and Commercial off the Shelf systems, and documenting resolutions
What do you know that makes you a great Junior Application Support Analyst?
Strong analytical skills and ability to explain and present results
Experience in Application Support or Helpdesk Support with Application Support interest or experience
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail
Ability to think logically and be proactive
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative in a constructive manner
Flexible & self-motivated and able to prioritise work effectively within time constraints, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent oral & written communication skills and the ability to communicate & present both at a technical & non-technical level
Experience producing application systems documentation or similar
You will already live in the local Southern Spain or Gibraltar area
Salary circa £30k based on experience with bonus and package.
