They need a Financial Assistant to assist the Finance Accountant with a range of tasks with the core responsibility being the management of key balance sheet accounts including accounts payable. Assist in the management of the supplier payment approval process.

What will you do as a Financial Assistant?

Assistance with the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts
Assist in the management of key balance sheet control accounts (AR, AP and accrual accounts)
Reconciliation of supplier bank accounts
Posting of supplier invoices, ensuring accurate classification and recognition and in line with contract terms
Review of supplier contracts
Ensure compliance with internal procurement policy
Calculation of month end accruals
Manage supplier payment process, seeking management approval for invoices
Prepare payment batches based on accurate aged creditors list and approved invoices
Correspond with suppliers and managers resolving any queries
Timely and accurate recognition of all supplier invoices, all being posted onto SAGE
Preparing payment runs for invoices approved from both the head of department and the MD/CEO
Accurate accrual calculations and posting onto SAGE
Reconciliation of bank accounts used for supplier payments

What do you know that makes you a great Financial Assistant?

The right candidate must have bank reconciliation, month end closing, accounts payable experience.
A dynamic professional with good Excel skills is essential.
Ideally AAT qualified or studying towards qualification.

Salary £23k based on experience with bonus & benefits package.
