RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a fast-growing multi-national business operation which provides travel insurance in the UK, Europe and Australia. They are looking for a Data Analyst to be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our data. Technical expertise is required to organise, transform, and present data. This is key to enable the Pricing department to better understand the business and improve decision making capabilities.

This role offers a hybrid work contract

What will you do as a Data Analyst?

• Building, cleaning and reconciling large datasets ahead of MI production and modelling
• Working with Marketing to access and utilise customer/retail data to enhance pricing models
• Working with IT on acquiring data for models and assist pricing colleagues with development and deployment of models – enabling the Pricing Team to optimise our competitive position
• Being creative when leading the development of both high level & segmented KPI reports for stakeholders. This includes:
‒ Becoming a pricing data expert and expert in BI software used by the business
‒ Setting up data dictionaries, data processes and datasets for risk cost models, demand models and MI
‒ Building MI and monitoring reports using various tools
‒ Assisting in the production of regular governance packs
‒ Ensuring pricing/actuarial data reconciles with finance
• Being comfortable in preparing and sharing timely updates in the weekly pricing committee
• Being comfortable as the main data contact for the pricing team and other key stakeholders
• Supporting other pricing colleagues with ad-hoc pricing tasks (in the retail, technical and reserving functions)


What do you know that makes you a great Data Analyst?

• Previous experience in a similar Data Analyst role
• Knowledge of SAS and Microsoft packages, including Excel is essential
• Experience in either R, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau preferred
• Commercially inclined with a growth mindset
• Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and numerical skills
• Comfortable with decision making where there is a level of uncertainty
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivery
• Ability to build and sustain strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• Mathematics, statistics or economics graduate preferred


Salary £45k based on experience plus package.
