RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a market leading financial services company who has a great opportunity for a Compliance Analyst - AML and Risk. This position will assist the business to manage, develop and maintain its client onboarding and oversight requirements, working with colleagues from across the organisation, and in particular the Compliance functions.
What is the plan for the Compliance Analyst - AML and Risk role?
To work with the compliance team to deliver, maintain and comply with the clients regulatory compliance framework.
To monitor suspicious transactions and investigate where suspicious activity is present.
The holder of this role will primarily focus on the review and analysis of AML alerts created by the Companys transactions monitoring system and the review and analysis of possible PEP and sanction matches.
You work normal office hours
What will you do as a Compliance Analyst AML and Risk?
The successful candidate will be required to get involved in other compliance-related tasks as required by the Company, and to liaise with external police authorities.
Support in the production of reporting of non-compliance in relation to AML and Risk.
To support the development of the bank's second line of defense arrangements, including risk, compliance, anti-money laundering, financial crime prevention, data protection, and complaints handling, ensuring that a commercially orientated service is delivered, whilst meeting best practice, regulatory and statutory requirements.
Supporting the implementation and embedding of the bank's Risk Management Framework and the development and monitoring of the bank's Risk Appetite.
Escalate and flag any issues that may arise accordingly
Completing risk assessments and sanctions checks on all parties to all new matters
Ensuring that the regulations (such Client Due Diligence) are adhered to within the firm
Maintain regular checking processes
What do you know that makes you a great Compliance Analyst - AML and Risk?
Previous experience in a compliance / AML function
Good understanding and working knowledge of current compliance practices & techniques including regulatory rules
An understanding of the regulatory framework for appointed representative model.
Experience of working on multiple compliance/regulatory tasks in a fast-moving environment
MS Excel (strong skills in this area are an advantage, should at least be able to use Pivot Tables and analyse data in an efficient way)
You will live locally.
Salary circa 25k based on experience with package.
