RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a market leading local company who has a great opportunity for a Systems Engineer (Windows) to join this high performance team based in Gibraltar. What is the plan for the Systems Engineer role?

Design, implement and maintain the company network infrastructure.
Support the local area network comprised of MS Windows Servers and MS Windows PCs (concentrating on server support)
Support of all other MS server products, e.g., MS SQL and MS Exchange servers and any new products implemented in the network
To carry out miscellaneous projects, e.g., installation of PCs, new servers, etc, as required by the Senior Infrastructure Executive
To undertake technical or training projects as requested
Review new products and specification of standard machines and arrange approval.
Adhere to systems check list and carry this out as and when required when the Infrastructure technicians are absent.
Provide support for the Group’s websites as required
Working hours are 8.30am - 5pm or as required

What do you know that makes you a great Systems Engineer?

Solid experience working in an IT server support role and / or a network administrator role
Fully conversant with MS Windows Servers (2008, 2012 & 2016) and other MS Server products, eg, SQL 2008 and above & Exchange 2013.
Experience of working in a team-focused environment

Degree in IT related subject preferred but not essential
Microsoft and / or Cisco certification preferred but not essential
Good Communication Skills
Tact when dealing with people who may be distressed angry or upset.


Salary up to £35k based on experience plus package.
