What is the plan for the Systems Engineer role?

To play an active part of a team of systems engineers providing infrastructure services in the following main areas of expertise:, networking, virtualisation, storage area networks, Microsoft related services and Server Operating Systems.

What will you do as a Systems Engineer?

Resolve and close support calls in timely and efficient manner
Maintain and monitor a substantial number of installed selected customer’s systems and infrastructure
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, system software and system management tools
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability of customers that you are assigned to handle
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with other teams to implement fixes and patches
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies, applying best industry practices
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
Provide 3rd level support


What do you know that makes you a great Systems Engineer?

Experienced in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux and/or Windows based environments and/or networking infrastructure and/or Storage area networks
Experienced in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
Experienced in virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
Experienced in monitoring systems
Experienced in developing solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts)
Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)


Salary circa €30k based on experience with bonus and private healthcare
