RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is looking for an experienced accounts professional to work in an Assistant Accountant role. You will work closely with the Finance Controller and will be a key point of contact in the Finance team. The Company has a truly international footprint and retail products in some of the worlds leading high street stores. The successful candidate will ideally be part qualified or candidates qualified by experience would also be considered and be able to demonstrate a serious commitment to their career to date.


Key Responsibilities

• Help in the preparation of accounts from start to complete financial statements
• Help in the preparation of balance Sheet reconciliations / P&L analysis
• Accurate postings onto Viewpoint accounting software
• Working paper analysis on Excel spreadsheets
• Ad-hoc reports as and when required

Skills and Experience

Previous experience at a senior accounts assistant or Assistant Accountant is required
AAT qualified or part qualified from CIMA / ACCA
A working knowledge of Powerpoint and Word is needed, and a strong knowledge of Excel is mandatory
Background in listed company environment a plus

Salary is circa £28k - £30k plus benefits package
