What is the plan for the Release Analyst role?
The Release Analyst is responsible for recording, scheduling and assisting in the management of a demanding and dynamic programme of release and change across multiple environments. The role will be expected to assist the Release Manager in identification and reduction of change risk while ensuring that a high rate of service change can be supported across the estate.
What will you do as a Release Analyst?
Assisting the Release Manager in the implementation of the technology release strategy, approach and processes which maintains the integrity of pre-production and production environments in transitioning new and changed services across the estate of environments
Application of governance activities to manage the scheduling and delivery of service change
Maintaining the overall change schedule, maintaining both a high level and detailed view across all environments and changes
Monitoring and tracking project activity against the release schedule, intervening and escalating as required to maintain the release scope and milestones
Reporting on environments status and release progress
Assisting in the coordination of all groups involved in introducing service change, particularly technology Programme and Project Managers, Test Managers and development teams
Assisting in the management of the change control process
Assisting in the assessment and management of risks and issues as applied to Release Management
Work with the other functions of the Operations Team to deliver the highest level of service, ensuring that SLAs are met and business expectations exceeded
What do you know that makes you a great Release Analyst?
At least 3 years experience in a similar technology / application operational role
Technology related degree level or higher qualification
ITIL or similar certification
Good understanding of the ITIL framework, with excellent knowledge of Release Management
Experience of working with a global network of service providers and business stakeholders
Experience of Change Management, Incident Management or Problem Management on complex, critical systems in an environment subject to a high rate of change
Understanding of project lifecycles and methodologies, particularly agile
Able to demonstrate a thorough and successful determination to protect configuration and systems from avoidable problems and disruption
A flexible approach to working hours across a 7 day week
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Open communication style with confident written and verbal presentation skills, encompassing a strong attention to detail
Previous experience in the eGaming industry (Casino, Poker, Sports) and/or retail bookmaking advantageous but not essential
Salary Up to £35k based on experience with bonus, an excellent relocation package and private healthcare.
