RecruitGibraltar are currently recruiting for a Risk, Payments & Security Manager to join a leading online betting and gaming company, with a strong track record of digital innovation. As a pure online business with a mobile first ethos that brings the excitement of sports betting, casino games, poker and bingo to a rapidly growing number of customers in the leisure betting and gaming market; they have sustained rapid growth over the last few years and are expanding further.

What is the plan for the Risk, Payments & Security Manager role?

The Risk, Payments & Security Manager is responsible for managing the daily workflow of the team and serves as a subject matter expert. In addition, the manager will interface directly with anti-fraud & payment providers, internal business partners, train new employees and resolve customer issues while demonstrating a high level of courtesy, professionalism, and good judgement. The successful candidate will also be involved in the management of AML procedures according to the new directive.

What will you do as a Risk, Payments & Security Manager?

• Actively managing daily risk, payment & security queries; resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Providing feedback (1-to-1) through quality assurance and guiding the team members to ensure that they achieve the necessary work standards
• Monitoring payment performances
• Proactively setting and managing rules in our payment gateway to mitigate fraud and keep the payment acceptance rate at a high level
• Evaluating potential payment and security providers and creating business cases, justifying the best choice around the preferred providers
• Working closely together with Front and Back End development teams for required releases on the platform for various brands in relation to security and payments
• Working closely and hand-in-hand with other managers from other departments
• Working together with our compliance officer to make sure procedures related to risk are in place and up-to-date for the operation teams (AML 4th directive being one Instance)
• Planning and scheduling appropriate staff covers to ensure that service levels are met or exceeded.
• Be ready on call outside working hours to solve Issues on the team that can have any financial impact
• Recruitment of new staff members
• Training new employees and organising additional training for team member
• Carrying out any other duties as required by the Chief Operating Officer

What do you know that makes you a great Risk, Payments & Security Manager?

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role with such responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English are essential.
• Knowledge on AML and requirements for the 4th AML directive
• PSP knowledge and experience in dealing directly with various PSP providers
• Positive attitude towards work, with attention to detail and a strong customer service ethic.
• Adaptable to change and understanding of change management to support the business.
• Ability to work under high pressure in a proactive way.

Salary €40k - €50k based on experience with bonus and an excellent package.
