RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a leading insurance company who has a great opportunity for an Assistant Underwriter to join the team.
You will have experience and a pro-active attitude, strong team work and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Review and consideration of both new and renewal submissions including:

• Proposal Forms
• Financial Information
• Regulatory Reports
• Any other relevant underwriting information
• Any findings from Searches if terms have been indicated
• Creation of a summary report of the risk for the file (not all occasions) including recommendations
• Input Data and develop suggested pricing, terms and conditions
• Review of risks and discuss with Underwriters note – All Indications/Quotes must be agreed in accordance with Schedule of Underwriting Authorities
• Provide indication/quotation/declinature to brokers
• Follow up with Brokers on all issues relating to indication/quotation/declinature
• Review/Develop relationships with all brokers
• Prepare / Supervise the preparation of all internally produced Documents for an Underwriter to sign off.


Underwriter Requirements:

CII qualification ideal but not essential
You will live locally or have set relocation plans
College level Degree is preferred
2-3 years experience within the underwriting field
Good level of IT skills, Word Excel and Underwriting systems
Multi tasking abilities and confident in working style
A confidential individual
Enjoys working in a Team orientated work environment

Salary range is very flexible so £25,000 - £35,000.
