RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a worldwide online payment processing business based in Marbella who need a Lead Java Developer/ Software Architect to join their high performance team. Working already with a number of large blue chip organizations, the Group has built a unique solution that empowers the client to process payments in a bespoke way.

You will be required to lead on a variety of high profile Enterprise-level, Greenfield, development projects utilising open source technologies. This represents a unique opportunity to be a part of a diverse team, helping to develop and design new builds and implement complex, multi-tier applications, using a variety of the latest technologies such as Java8, SpringBoot, Angular.js, ElasticSearch and Google Cloud Services.

Here's what they are looking for:

• Ability to effectively collaborate and gather requirements from various teams and/or stakeholders around the business and successfully translate the requirements into working tools or applications.
• Proactive, self-driven and enjoys solving complex problems, not just in the primary area of responsibility but across boundaries.
• Take ownership of design, execution and technical project management of partner integrations.
• Develop tools, libraries and documentation for a large set of developers.
• As the Lead Java Developer/ Software Architect, you will need to have experience of leading by example and training junior and mid-level developers.
• A good understanding of creating solutions, while being able to articulate this to different levels of stakeholders within the business.

Experience:

Previous experience as a senior Java Developer or Software Architect
You will be required to have a good understanding of numerous Back End technologies within Java, as well as detailed experience within one technology:

- Spring: Core, MVC, Integration, Data, Batch, Boot)
- HTML5/JavaScript frameworks like Angular
- Integration Technologies: Spring Integration, Web Services, XML, REST, JSON)
- NoSQL Technologies: Elastic Search

• Solid experience of working with a recognised Agile or Iterative development methodology (eg Scrum, XP, DSDM, RUP).
• Solid experience of applying good engineering technical practices (eg TDD, Continuous Integration or Pair Programming).

Salary circa €40 - €45K based on experience with an excellent relocation package.
