RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a leading insurance company who has a great opportunity for an experienced Underwriter to join the team.
You will have solid underwriting experience and a pro-active attitude, strong team work and communication skills. You will need to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the insurance sector with 3+ years relevant experience.

Underwriter Responsibilities:

To contribute to the development of profitable insurance products
Work alongside brokers in the UK to ensure an effective product delivery
Identify and be able to underwrite for reinsurance opportunities
Assist with the development of the Company's software programme
Add value to the marketing, advertising and distribution strategies
Be responsible for the administration and processing of accurate data
Application of best practice processes to improve efficiency and service
Control of the calculation of quotations
Manage on a daily basis all work flows both internal and external vendor related
Comply with all regulatory and internal systems controls and procedures

Underwriter Requirements:

CII qualification ideal but not essential
You will live locally or have set relocation plans
College level Degree is preferred
3 to 5 years experience within the underwriting field
Good level of IT skills, Word Excel and Underwriting systems
Multi tasking abilities and confident in working style
A confidential individual
Enjoys working in a Team orientated work environment

Salary range is very flexible so £28,000 - £45,000.
