RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a market leading egaming company who has a great opportunity for a Deputy Marketing Director to join this high performance team based in Gibraltar. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, the primary responsibility of the role will be to develop a marketing plan by channel that ensures the company not only leads the way in innovative, creative and forefront technological actions but also ensures these actions deliver commercial and business success.

The main purpose of the job is to head up the technical marketing function for the UK and other global territories. Additionally the role will have a secondary function in that the role holder will be expected to stand in for the marketing director when he is out of the business and otherwise engaged on business and/or personal matters.

The successful candidate will be required to hold budgetary responsibilities and accountability in order to facilitate decision making and he/she will be expected to liaise and communicate regularly with the Executives and Operational Board with regards to key proposals, strategic and tactical recommendations and the presentation of ideas and initiatives that will help drive business activity across any/all territories.


Key Responsibilities

• To develop a cross-territory and cross-channel marketing plan
• Ensure our mobile, tablet, online marketing, performance and delivery is dynamic, contemporary , cutting edge and market leading
• To assist, support and communicate with the Marketing Director on a daily basis
• Assume budgetary management and control to help assist key decision making
• A confidence and ability to make key decisions that will help the business meet desired aims and objectives
• To manage a team (currently) of four heads of department pertaining to affiliates, creative, CRM and online marketing in the marketing director’s absence
• Ensure relevant time allocated with each department head and team to ensure full engagement, direction and support is established and maintained.
• Provide a full suite of weekly and monthly reports that regularly evaluate territory marketing performance and that will shape ongoing territory marketing policy
• The ability to assume an effective role within the Executive and or Operational Board Meetings in the absence of the Marketing Director
• Fully engage with the marketing team to help develop a series of ongoing and innovative offers to help drive customer and business activity across and relevant to all territories and product mix.
• Negotiate commercially sound agreements with a range of third-party partners that will help increase brand reach, profile and performance in the territories
• Work with any/all third-party appointed agencies to help shape and craft all above-the-line and below-the-line marketing campaigns
• Ensure all third parties, partners, agencies and the like have regular feedback on performance and delivery, ensure any gaps clearly identified and actioned accordingly
• Work with the product heads and channel departments internally to ensure the right offer in the right market per territory
• Set clear targets, goals, objectives and KPI’s against which staff performance can be effectively monitored and measured as and when required
• Fully own and manage all aspects of staff performance, attendance, training and development, deployment, appraisal and welfare as and when required
• Conduct market research to help identify market gaps and opportunities which result in an implementation process the marketing team and the business in general can leverage
• Help develop a competitor analysis process that informs the business of the current trends, developments and product upgrades that are prevalent amongst the competitive set relevant per territory and equally delivers a series of recommendations as required accordingly.


Skills, Knowledge and Experience of the Deputy Marketing Director

• Proven experience within a similar senior marketing role within the Gaming industry.
• A strong leader with experience of dealing with different business departments
• A strong knowledge of sportsbook, casino games, poker and other products.
• Energetic, enthusiastic individual with strong commercial acumen
• A quick thinker who can react to a key customer’s needs in pressure situations
• A strong and confident character that can communicate with all levels of management
• Proven man management skills
• Sound and balanced commercial acumen and awareness
• Experienced in reporting and analysis
• Decision maker and implementer

Salary circa 75k based on experience with an excellent relocation package and private healthcare.
