Job Description:

cruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a leading company in the financial services industry and is searching for Head of Finance.

You will need to be living locally already.

As Head of Finance you will be responsible for the following:

Managing staff to ensure:
Accounts Payable are authorized and settled in a timely manner, accruals and prepayments correctly recorded and month-end reporting deadlines for Oracle entries / reconciliations are achieved
Accounts Receivables are invoiced promptly and escalation procedures put in place to obtain settlement of invoices within expected timelines
Recharge to clients of third party fees are invoiced promptly and settled quickly
Settlements for card transactions are made daily
Client bank accounts are reconciled daily and customer funds are properly segregated in accordance with legislation.
Reports are prepared and stored securely to support reconciliation and billing of clients
Chargebacks / disputes processed promptly and settlement obtained
Maintenance of records relating to Bank Accounts and completion of forms required for any changes to accounts or signatories
Monthly analysis of income and performance indicators across multiple business lines
Creation and maintenance of procedures documentation for all tasks

Own Areas of Responsibility:

Internal and External Audit Process, including completion of Annual Report
Regular reporting to Management
Annual review of ICAAP document and advice to the Board on Capital Requirements
Treasury and Forex management, including relationships with correspondent banks
Training and mentoring of staff, many of whom are studying Accountancy qualifications
Streamlining and automating processes for more efficient working
Representing the Finance teams in weekly Management meetings

Desired Skills & Experience as Head of Finance:

Fully qualified Accountant, at least five years PQE
Experience in a role that included management of staff
Confidence in making recommendations to Management for improvements to systems / processes
Proven experience in a Financial Services Environment
Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
Strong problem solving skills displaying creative solutions
Experience of managing a diverse multi-national team
Oracle knowledge preferred
Understanding of European and Banking Regulations, as well as reporting to US GAAP would be an advantage

Salary circa 50k - 65k based on experience.
