Business Analyst job - Gibraltar

Our client who is one of the largest gaming companies in the world need a business analyst to support and enable business change, whilst working hand in hand with business and IT. You will be responsible for multiple projects, eliciting requirements from business owners, and documenting any changes to the projects. You will be accountable for standards and quality within their workstream, and work with management to constantly improve the analysis service. 

The role of a business analyst in Gibraltar

• Work with the project manager and business owner to produce project mandates and associated benefits cases. 
• Capture, and document business requirements, where necessary translating these into detailed comprehensive application requirements. 
• Ensure that all analysis artefacts within their workstream/domain are produced according to the Quality Management Framework and are of an excellent standard. 
• Document any assumptions, dependencies and risks relating to the process / requirements. 
• Provide input to the Project/Programme Manager, on estimates for cost, resource and timescales as appropriate. 
• Work with the Team Lead/Analysis Manager to think outside their project role, and to drive service improvement initiatives. 
• To produce business models mapping the activities in different areas of the business. 
• To extrapolate the business requirements relating to systems changes and work with Architects on technical requirements and their feasibility. 
• To support the business in writing benefits cases where required and to manage these benefits through to realisation. 
• Proactively seek out opportunities and enhancements of applications through an understanding of the applications use and current capabilities 
• Support the business owner in maintaining a prioritised set of requirements that may be incorporated into future releases of applications based on knowledge gained from the business. 
• Builds effective relationships and provides leadership to less senior team members to encourage a positive team environment. 
• Will assume multiple project responsibilities across domains 
• Will assume lead analyst positions on larger projects and can work with autonomy without the guidance of a project manager. 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience for a business analyst in Gibraltar

• 3+ years experience as an business analyst or similar role 
• Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification. 
• Proven delivery track record of delivering analysis artefacts to time and quality. 
• Proven ability to lead large and complex projects, and is able to adapt to different project methodologies. 
• Experience of translating business requirements into technical requirements and applying the most appropriate requirement specification techniques in order to communicate the need. 
• A strong customer focus, recognising internal and external customers, establishing effective relationships. 
• Strong communication (verbal/written) and influencing skills, with an ability to manage internal and external relationships up to senior levels of management. 
• Experience of capturing specific, measurable and accurate requirements using business terminology. 
• Strong diplomacy, persuasion, negotiation and interpersonal skills. 
• ISEB qualification preferable. 
• Experience within the Betting & Gaming industry is preferable. 


Salary circa 28k - 35k plus relocation package and healthcare
