RecruitMalta are currently helping our client, who is a part of a globally recognised brand, searching for a QA Software Developer in Test with two or more years experience to join their expanding company in the insurance sector.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Chief Information Officer and be involved in several projects, a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work collaboratively is required.

Description of Work:
• Lead the design and implementation of testing automation frameworks, by identifying optimal testing strategies to satisfy automation, reporting across distributed systems
• Preparing and performing Quality Assurance on the company’s software platforms; including designing test scenarios, creating test plans, implementing, automating and executing test cases
• Interact with internal customers and partners to simulate scenarios which help validate the product
• Identify and propose areas of improvement throughout the software development process
• Develop or acquire test data and run tests in different environments or stages
• Maintaining, logging and tracking issues and defect reports, reported against the software platforms while Communicating findings to technical and non-technical colleagues
• Write, edit and compile application programs for computer systems
• Correct anomalies and revise programs

Capacity and Skills:
• Work effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
• Ability to develop applications in client- server environment, three-tier and distributed
• Knowledge of data modelling procedures and techniques of object-oriented programming
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, latest .Net Framework, and other industry standard languages
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, MsSQL, and database design methods
• Ability to gather and analyse facts, define problems and find solutions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the users of the systems and all stakeholders involved
• Fluent in English, and strong communication skills. Knowledge of French is considered an asset

Studies:
Diploma, minimum MQF Level 4, with preference for a degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
