RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a very well established and successful financial services provider who has a great opportunity for an Accounts Supervisor. What is the plan for the Accounts Supervisor role?

Responsible to oversee finance department functions ensuring efficiency and compliance with established processes and accounting standards. The role includes supervising more junior employees, maintaining financial records, and assisting with audits as necessary.

What will you do as an Accounts Supervisor?

 Preparation and assistance in the compilation of management accounts as necessary
 Keep track of daily transactions which are to be updated on the accounting system and that all bank accounts are reconciled daily
 Assist in analyzing variances to budget
 Oversee and assist more junior employees in the correct execution of tasks.
 To liaise with the auditors and provide reports and information as required
 Assist in ensuring that proper accounting records are kept for both schemes and company
 Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues
 Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
 Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives
 Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company’s targets
 To be involved in Tax submissions including VAT returns as necessary.

What do you know that makes you a great Accounts Supervisor?

 Partly qualified Accountant
 2 years relevant experience working in a similar role within the Malta Financial Services Industry
 Ability to set own deadlines and work accurately to tight deadlines and handling projects assigned to him/her.
 Proficient in Microsoft Office with key focus on Excel
 Although not mandatory previous experience in the pensions industry and knowledge of NAV will be an asset


You will already live in Malta

Salary circa €30k based on experience with private healthcare.
