What is the plan for the Web Master Team Lead role?

The Webmaster Team Lead is responsible for supporting the Web Content Manager in his role facilitating the delivery of first class content configuration and web publishing for all online marketing channels. The Webmaster Team Lead will be an integral part of a team of specialist highly skilled Webmasters who are tasked with producing engaging & effective online customer experiences across all web based platforms and devices. The Webmaster Team Lead works in the Web Content Team and reports to the Web Content Manager.


What will you do as a Web Master Team Lead?

Responsible for gatekeeping creative tickets raised by the marketing teams across the business. Problem solving and reviewing tickets for quality, adherence to the original brief, time planning, and timely completion.
Coordination of all daily content building and publishing, onsite maintenance and support to ensure a high quality customer experience (7 days a week service).
Provide support for all content and CMS related live issues (including out of hours) to ensure minimum impact on the business and customer experience.
Review and proof (Inc. sign off) all Web Content deliverables to ensure all content is complying with Brand guidelines and regulatory frameworks including CAP.
Consulting and advising on all projects across the business where Web Content input is required, and liaising with third parties when necessary to ensure all materials are executed to high quality and on brand
Ownership, upkeep and maintenance of web platform content management systems.
Performing code reviews and coaching sessions for all members of the team for best practice and continuous improvement.
Daily testing of web platforms (performance, user, content check) to ensure content, links, images and content are correct and fully functional.
Ensure that all content and web platforms are coded in line with best practice (including W3C) industry standards for optimum performance.
Contribute to the development roadmaps of all content management systems used by the company by providing reviews, feedback, suggestions and requirements for development implementation.

What do you know that makes you a great Web Master Team Lead?

Senior level of experience as a webmaster in a in a highly productionised environment.
Fluency with front-end technologies HTML, XHTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, SCSS, PHP, XML, AJAX, JavaScript, image formats, CMS systems, Google Analytics, Cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, mySQL, CMS systems, Adobe CC Suite, W3C Web Standards.
University degree in Web Development, Computer Programming or similar
Strong understanding of best practice web principles for online media
Ability to produce responsive web pages for mobile, tablet and desktop devices from design mockups
Experience working with CMS required. Experience of Liferay Portal, Adobe Experience Manager and WordPress CMS highly advantageous
Ability to create simple, effective, engaging web experiences.
