What is the plan for the Network Engineer role?

• Design, configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of the local area network (LAN) and/or wide area network (WAN)
• Maintenance of Cisco Call Manager telephony solution
• Design, configuration, installation and maintenance of servers and SANs
• Ensuring critical applications are functioning correctly
• 2nd/3rd line support of local users
• Hands-on experience working with Cisco
• Trouble-shooter on moderately complex network and telephony problems
• Liaison with vendors and other third party providers
• 2nd/3rd level helpdesk support for the business
• Manage the overall health of the network and its internal and external connections, identifying potential issues or opportunities for improvement
• Administers user access for the network and some key business applications
• Backup and restoration of data to and from the network
• External connections to the network, maintenance and management

What do you know that makes you a great Network Engineer?

• Experience of SAN management and troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of Active Directory/DNS/IP addressing
• Working knowledge of Microsoft
• Experience working with Exchange 2013/2016
• Experience administering Office365 environment
• Working knowledge of major virtualization platforms
• Cisco CCNA & MSCE preferred
• Ability to create professional looking network diagrams
• Linux experience a plus
