In-house Lawyer (banking)
RecruitGibraltar is helping our client, a global retail bank, to find a lawyer to join their transactional banking division.
This role will operate in a small team and will cover a variety of banking products, advising on legal risk and strategizing for the bank as to how to approach new regulation, evolving customer expectations and changing market dynamics. You will have a payments and community banking focus and so candidates with consumer experience law and PSD2 will be at an advantage. You will work alongside, and learn from, leading specialists, gaining unparalleled exposure to some of the most high profile transactions in the market.
The ideal candidate doesn’t have a minimum level of PQE, though you do need to be qualified. What is important for my client is a genuine interest in retail banking and good stakeholder management skills.
This is a great opportunity for a lawyer that has basic experience working in either a well-regarded law firm, or as an in-house lawyer for a financial services firm. The successful candidate will be have a strong academic record, be bright, articulate and a self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic.This role could suit candidates from a regulatory, tech or payments background and is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad variety of products at a mid level.
Salary based on experience with benefits package.
