RecruitGibraltar are currently recruiting for a Investment Fund Manager to join a successful and diverse Investment Fund Manager. The purpose of the compliance function is to ensure that the funds complies with applicable laws and regulations. It also plays an essential role in helping to preserve the integrity and reputation of the funds. The compliance officer will be ethical and principled in shouldering their responsibility in the following areas:

ensuring compliance of bank’s policies and procedures.
ensuring compliance with the internal systems and controls and also making sure that the fund is conducting its business in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations
scrutinise all the facts without making snap judgement and communicate compliance related issues to relevant stakeholders in a polite and professional manner
be proactive, alert and vigilant to potential breaches in compliance
identify matters of non-compliance and escalate them as necessary for resolution
identify gaps and provide recommendations for appropriate solutions to mitigate AML risks
assist in identifying systemic procedural weaknesses and additional training requirements for the bank
ensure timely, efficient reporting of suspicious transactions to the MLRO
ensure timely execution of instructions received from the Head of Compliance, MLRO


Experience

Minimum 3 years banking industry related work experience
Possess ability to assess risk and escalate to Head of Compliance, MLRO
Detail oriented with analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a team as well as independently
PC proficient with strong word processing and spreadsheet skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work under pressure on multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with interruptions and changing priorities
Strong ability to quickly grasp and understand AML risks

Salary based on experience with bonus.
