RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a highly regarded local company to find an Accounts Assistant. You will provide a key role as part of the finance team and will be to support the financial controller in producing monthly management accounts of some 20 companies in Gibraltar and other European countries.
Your key responsibilities will include
All roles within the accounting process up to and including preparation of monthly management accounts ie cash payments, receipts
petty cash management
online cash management
extensive purchase ledger control (coding, input and payment of purchase invoices)
accruals and prepayments
Previous experience in a similar accounts position
Good knowledge of accounting software
You will already be involved in the monthly management accounts process
Ability to handle a large number of transactions across a number of different companies with relative ease.
You should be able to absorb, assimilate and process information quickly and accurately learning along the way.
Excel skills must be above average and you must be able to use Word.
You will be at least AAT qualified.
You should also be looking to further your formal accountancy qualifications eg ACCA or CIMA.
Salary £17k - £25k based on experience plus a study support package available.
