Our client is searching for an underwriter / policy auditor ideally with Motor Underwriting experience although someone with life underwriting would be considered. You will be required to review, and alter when necessary, policy wording in relation to the underwriting principles applied to that policy. So you will not be required to underwrite whole policies but only work on existing policies.
You will have recent experience as an underwriter and thus possess a strong understanding of underwriting principles with experience of a wide range of technical issues, including the construction of policy wordings. In addition to this you will hold an awareness of the market and legal/industry developments with the ability to underwrite proficiently. It is essential that your problem solving ability is efficient through good organisation and demonstrating good attention to detail. Self motivation and the drive to take responsibility and make decisions/recommendations, as appropriate will be required. Salary up to 35k |
